Sorik obtained his distictive facial scar due to an injury he incurred on the Romulan homeworld while engaged in a classified mission for the Vulcan Ministry of Security. The slight squint of his right eye is also due to this incident. Due to the secretive nature of the infiltration into Romulan society, proper medical attention was not obtained to immediately effect proper treatment. While cosmetic restoration is available, Sorik has refused futher treatment, seeing no logic in it.
