Ship History
An early starship of the initial Oberth Class production run, the Istari was in service for better than a century when the vessel was retired as a result of the Dominion War. The vessel was the first post for Arikk Kutter now serving as Chief Operations Officer aboard Kemaris Station
USS Istari was replaced with the Nova Class science vessel USS Oppenheimer. Most of the crew and officers were simply moved from one vessel to the next.
